I'd never heard of a car called the Luxury Liner till I walked up on this one in the Simpson Farm Auto Graveyard. I liked the grill!
Fleetwood .. of the hand painted variety!
I can't tell you how much it vexes me that I missed focus by about a half inch on this. Still its not bad and came out very much like I had envisioned. I wanted to run focus sharp from the top all the way down through the Fleetwood lettering and then have it transition to soft at the bottom edge of the image. However, the sun was full force directly at me causing such a direct glare that I couldn't see anything in the camera viewfinder. I finally just made a calculated guess .. at which I got real close but not totally capturing the Fleetwood in focus. But I still like it ... it did exactly what I was hoping for.
More hand painted Fleetwood!
I especially like the cross hatch brush strokes. The guy had a nice touch I tell you!
This should come with a color warning!
Gear on hose wheel
This was a gear on the end of a water hose reel on a very cool old fire truck. The truck was (guessing) from the thirties and very rusted out. Lots of good photo shots still in it though.
Old 30's Fire Truck
This truck was beautiful but unfortunately almost completely rusted out. Someone needed to save this one about thirty years ago!
The Old Fire Truck, Me ... and some self indulgence!
1949 Studebaker Truck Hood Ornament
My favorite pic in this graveyard series!
Pok, ba bok, ba bok, ba baaaa!! Thunder Chicken!
This was a 64 or 65. I always have wanted a 62 or 63 retromod. Maybe one day still?
