Sandy's new Calla Lily
Shot this with the Olympus E-M5II and the Russian Tair 11A lens in the E-M5II HiRes mode. Gotta use a tripod for this type of shot but it produces a 40Mpx image by using sensor shift and taking a sequence of 8 images and then merging them into one, in this case 98.4Mpx image that resolves to 40Mpx. Its a tough mode to use that comes with the limitation of tripod and no subject movement but it produces images that have a nice depth and with a unique quality about them.
Dahlia in Peach Colors
Olympus E-M5II HiRes shot with the Tair 11A lens. The Tair probably can't come close to the resolving power of 40Mpx but its one of the more beautifully soft lenses that's still decently sharp. I find the combination of glass that produces very smooth images and an imager like the E-M5II in HiRes mode with lots of pixels makes for a beautiful image. Kind of like the large screen cinematic films of the 50's where the film stock had much more resolving ability than the lenses of that time.
Red Gerber Daisy Wakes to the New Morning
This one of the red daisy came out much better thanks to the soft shade of the early morning light. Deep shade is about the only way you can get digital red to come out with any definition and clarity to it. That is until newer broader gamut formats come out and higher bit depths!
Carl Zeiss Distagon 2.8/28mm in Contax Yashica mount, f8, 1/500th sec, ISO 100
What do you get when you take one of the best 28mm lenses ever made, put extension tubes on it and shoot macro's?
Not nearly as easy shooting macro's with wide angles as the subject is nearly touching the front element of the lens.
