Bald River Falls, TN
Beautiful spot. Sandy and I must go back. We've been right by there close on the Cherohala Skyway a number of times but never detoured off to head down to the falls. The falls are at the confluence of the Bald River and North River and after they merge it becomes the Tellico River.
Very hard and harsh light during this shot shooting with the sun about 30 degrees off from the front of the lens.
This is a 6 second exposure with an 8 mile an hour gusting wind as testified by the slight blurring on the vegetation bottom left. All in all I'm surprised not more is blurred as we were fighting the wind all afternoon trying to take long exposure pics. I had my umbrella to shield the camera and people must have thought I was a nut!Tellico River
Tellico River just a short bit north of Bald River Falls. Unfortunately with my tripod I couldn't get out far enough to avoid the shadow of the bridge so I had to crop this a little shorter in length than I wished.
This was a 15 second exposure, f16, ISO 50 with about 10 stops of ND filter.
